An integral part of every printing operation should be your own bindery. However, few printing companies are self-sufficient and have their own bindery. The Polygraf printing company has invested in high-quality equipment for its final processing, and thanks to its own bindery, it is not necessary to cooperate with other operations in most of the processed orders. Our own bindery not only saves production time when making an order and allows you to deliver the order earlier, but above all allows us to deliver the product to the customer at a significantly better price than printing companies with the need to cooperate.
With a wide range of bookbinding machines and equipment, we cover not only all the standard need for finishing printed materials, but thanks to other specialized equipment we can offer many special services within our own operation, which most other printing companies need to cooperate.

Special folding – folding
We have provided special services thanks to investments in the most modern technology of folding machines from the world’s top manufacturer MBO. These are exceptionally variable machines enabling the entire range of required warehouses.
What can our folding machines do?
They have a paper input of max. B1 and min. A6. The variable design of the machines allows assembly and storage in a maximum configuration of up to 10 parallel folds + cross fold. On these machines we can process papers from 40 to 250 grams basis weight.

Hohner HSB 9000 – a fully automated modern industrial component line for V1 binding with an output of up to 9000 bindings per hour. The line has 8 automatic component stations (1st flat) + manual casting, envelope station, sewing unit (4 sewing heads), very precise three-cut and unloader. The automatic resetting of the machine allows the format to be changed in a few minutes. The high quality of the V1 binding spine is guaranteed by an automatic envelope station with envelope pre-binding.
The modern WOHLENBERG QUICKBINDER machine provides the printer with a perfect V2 bond. The line has fully automatic adjustment of all important functions such as setting the block width, format. High quality and high-performance back machining. The processing of the spine is performed by two cutters and the cuttings and dust are continuously sucked out. The glue is first applied to the back and then separately to the sides. Quickbinder enables bonding with hot-melt adhesives or adhesives with the addition of PUR. The maximum output of 2,000 bindings per hour enables fast processing of orders at higher costs. The possible format of brochures is – height 110 to 430 mm and length 105 to 320 mm. Spine thickness 3 to 70 mm.
Tiskárna Polygraf, s.r.o. is equipped with several modern cutting machines. A new state-of-the-art Wohlenberg 132 TS cutting centre has recently been added to our existing Schneider-Senator E-line 115 cutting machine, which is fully programmable and meets the highest accuracy requirements. The Wohlenberg 132 TS cutting machine with cutting widths of 132 cm and the possibility of automatically generating cutting programs excels in high productivity, safety and cutting accuracy. Part of this modern centre is the Baumann BSB 3L shaking device and the Baumann BA 3N unloader. The cutting itself is controlled by automatic approach to the selected dimension. Thanks to these cutting machines, the required size is with a minimum deviation and our company is thus able to supply printed matter with a requirement for high dimensional accuracy.
